How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be made by calling or texting the salon number 0876211974. You may find it easier to text the number as I find it difficult to answer the phone while I’m in treatment. Of course, if you would prefer to have a chat about a treatment you can request a call back via text, or my web page.
I also have a new online booking system where you can make, cancel, and check your appointments. This can be found on the salon web page.
When booking online a small deposit will be taken to complete the booking. This is done by taking your card details. This deposit will be taken off your treatment on the day.
I work on an appointment-only basis and recommend to re-book when leaving the salon to avoid disappointment.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
If you are a new client coming to the salon I advise you to give yourself plenty of time as the traffic in Adare is unpredictable.
The salon door is always kept locked, I need to come and let you in. I advise clients to wait in their car and come to the door at their appointment time. Keep an eye on your mobile phone for a text or an email I may send you if I am running late. If you don’t receive a text that means all is good and I will meet you at the salon door at your appointment time to welcome you in. Please be at the door on time to avoid either of us unnecessarily waiting.
What if I am running late?
At times I may run late with appointments if this does happen I will always text or email you to let you know to wait in your car to avoid getting wet or cold and I will always give you a time to meet me at the door. I avoid running late as best as I can but sometimes it cannot be helped
If you are running late your treatment may need to be cut short and you will still be charged for the full treatment. Please try to contact me to let me know if you are running late for your appointment.
Where is the salon located?
My postcode is V94 FC79 you can pop this into google maps and it will bring you right to the door.
For those of you that are familiar with Adare, the salon is located on the Station Rd beside the credit union. You can’t miss the signs.
Where can I park?
You can park in the heritage center public car park or on the street both free of charge.
If you fancy a nice little walk through the village of Adare there is also a public car park across the road from the boy’s school on the Rathkeale Rd., you will need to give yourself 10 mins to walk to the salon from this location.
Please make sure not to park in any private car parks belonging to other business premises like the Adare Ironworks across the street from the salon or Centra car park. These are not public car parks and I value the relationship I’ve built with a local business.
What is the salon’s cancellation policy?
I do appreciate that sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment and I kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours notice but preferably 48hr notice. This allows me the opportunity to fill this appointment time.
Failure to provide 24hr notice will result in a 50% charge taken from your card provided when booking online or for those of you that booked via text or call, a 50% nonrefundable deposit will be needed to secure your next appointment.
Failure to show up for an appointment will result in the full cost of your treatment taken from your card.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
All online bookings require a small deposit.
All Christmas appointments require a 50% nonrefundable deposit.
All bridal parties require a deposit which I will discuss with you individually.
Can I have a treatment if I am pregnant?
It is really important to let me know in confidence if you are pregnant as there are certain treatments and products not suitable throughout pregnancy.
However, I can offer you lots of treatments and adapt treatments to suit you and your baby.
Why do I need a patch test?
This is to make sure you don’t have a reaction to certain products used. The main treatments that require a patch test are eyelash tinting, brow tinting, HD brows, eyelash lift, and brow lamination.
Please allow 24/48hr after the patch test has been carried out before having a treatment.
The patch test must be done by me for any treatments in Mise beauty salon.
I am new to Nimue skin technology facials and skin care products and I’m unsure what facial to go with or which skin care product to purchase?
Don’t worry I will guide you through it. You can not book a facial online you will need to book via email, text, or call 087611974
Nimue is a very specialised skincare brand that uses a lot of active ingredients which I will discuss with you in dept before, during, and after your treatment.
If you are looking for relaxation and just a boost to the skin I have Nimue deep cleans facial and Nimue therapeutic facial which we can carry out without an in-depth consultation online. The consultation can be done in the salon before your treatments
For the rejuvenation treatments and Smart skin resurfacer treatment, A consultation will take place before your first peel to discuss your concerns and to work out a plan to get you and your skin on the right prescribed skincare by Nimue.
Consultations can be carried out online or over the phone. An in-dept email will then be sent to you with the treatment plan and recommended core products to get you on the way to new glowing skin
I have botox, can I still have a treatment?
It can depend on the treatment. It is best to contact me beforehand as you may need to wait 2 weeks.
I’m having a professional spray tan, what do I need to do beforehand?
I advise any shaving or waxing to be done 24hr prior to your tan.
You will be given a disposable thong, hat, and sticky feet to wear for your tanning application. You may also use your own underwear. You need to bring dark loose clothing and flip flops to go home in.
If you forget your flip-flops I have disposable sandals for an extra cost.
Do not apply any deodorant, perfume, or moisturiser prior to your appointment that day as these all act as barriers against the tan.
Do you have gift vouchers?
You can purchase your gift vouchers in the salon or over the phone which then can be posted out for you.
Vouchers can not be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
Please ensure that you bring your redeemable gift voucher with you to present on arrival
I do not put a use-by date on my vouchers but if they aren’t used within 5 years of purchase they are then seen as void.
Any vouchers given for charity or fundraisers have a 3-month use by date and must be used within this period.
Is the salon private?
Yes, the salon is very private and the majority of my clients come to me because of the privacy and comfort of my salon.
